For the past 15 years, the TIITC has conducted a partnership campaign each summer. The multi-media campaigns have brought together over $2 million of public and private funds to promote the 1000 Islands Region. Campaign partners receive exposure on TV, the Web and in response collateral.

The campaign advertising drives responses to a landing site that features campaign partners. The landing site includes video and links to partner sites. See www.getaway1000.com
Web Banner Advertising
The 2009 and 2010 campaigns included web banner advertising targeted to the markets in which television ads appeared. At right is a sample of the "sponge cell" banner ad that ran in the I81 corridor of Pennsylvania. The ad allowed direct response by filling out a the form in the ad rather than being referred to another webpage.
Coupon Booklet and Events Tabloid
The summer campaign includes two pieces of collateral that are mailed in addition to the Travel Guide. The coupon book allows area businesses to buy into the program with low cost coupons. The events tabloid is a printed calendar of events for the season and includes feature articles about the major campaign partners.
