This is a summary report on the 1000 Islands International Region summer business survey. It includes a brief analysis of the survey along with charts and graphs for the general; Canadian and US responses.
2011 Border Crossing Data This is a summary report on passenger crossings the 1000 Islands borders. It is based on information provided by Statistics Canada on the number of Canadians returning and Americans arriving at CBSA inspection stations at the 1000 Islands Bridge (Lansdowne) and Ogdensburg-Prescott Bridge. The numbers reflect the total number of individuals (not vehicles).
2010 New York 1000 Islands - Seaway Region Economic Impact of Tourism
This report produced by Empire State Development reports information on the economic impact of tourism on the 1000 Islands Region, including Jefferson, Owswego and St. Lawrence Counties (data broken down to county level). Data includes information on spending, jobs, and taxes.

2005 Seasonal Resident Survey Report
This is a summary report on a survey of Jefferson County's vacation home owners. The 11 page report contains basic information on spending, activities and vacation home use. The survey was completed by over 1,200 homeowners.
An Overview of Tourism - 1000 Islands/St. Lawrence Seaway Ontario (2003)
This comprehensive, 60 page report provides analysis of tourism activities and motivations as well as economic impact in Ontario's 1000 Islands Region from Kingston east to the Quebec border. A section of the report focuses specifically on the tourism in Kingston. Based on 2001 data collected in a Province wide study by Research Resolutions and Consulting. Commissioned by the 1000 Islands - St. Lawrence Seaway Marketing Partnership.

Recreational Boating Studies
The International Lake Ontario – St. Lawrence River Study Board is undertaking a comprehensive five-year study for the International Joint Commission (IJC) to assess and evaluate the current criteria used to regulate outflows from Lake Ontario through the St. Lawrence River.
The Recreational Boating and Tourism Technical Work Group was created to establish water level criteria for recreational boaters and boating related tourism.
This Synthesis Papers are part of a series being developed by the Recreational Boating and Tourism Technical Work Group to provide the results of activities conducted as part of the Study.
